Nsayka Wawa

A text-based game set in a Pacific Northwest town where every resident speaks Chinuk Wawa. You learn the language by overhearing phrases, finding where they are taught, and coming back able to understand. Past the last house, a forest reshuffles every time you leave, and something in the trees keeps leaving you gifts.

A different way in

You do not study a world from the outside. You live inside one.

Most learning apps give you flashcards and a progress bar. Odyssey Skul gives you somewhere to stand instead. Every module is a place you can walk around in, built from real history and the language people actually spoke there. You overhear something you do not understand. You go find where it is explained. You come back, and this time the sentence opens up.

It is how most of us learned our first language, long before anyone handed us a worksheet. You will not feel like you are inside a method. You will feel like you are trying to keep up with your neighbors.
